Fabricant européen de suppléments · marque privée
A Canadian brand can have its own supplement made in Europe. PharmaEurope manufactures white and private label food supplements in the European Union and already ships to Canada: white label on a ready-made formula from 100 units, your own formula from 500 bottles for capsules and tablets, powders and sachets from 300 kg of finished blend, production from 2 weeks on a ready-made formula and from 4 weeks on your own. The label is designed and printed at the plant in English and French, and every batch ships with a specification and a Certificate of Analysis.
In short: PharmaEurope makes the product and supplies the manufacturer documents; your Canadian importer clears it and your brand holds the product licence (NPN).

Can I get my own supplement made in Europe for Canada?
Yes: PharmaEurope makes white label supplements from 100 units and your own formula from 500 bottles in the European Union, which gives a Canadian brand a second supply route that does not run through the United States. Since 8 September 2026 Canada has applied counter-tariffs of 15%, 25% and 50% to a list of US goods, so a source outside the US is one way to spread the risk across two routes. Canadian opinion points the same way: in a Research Co. poll of 1 to 3 June 2026, 76% of Canadians favoured enhancing trade with the European Union, a question about trade in general rather than supplements. A small first run lets a brand test one product on the new route before it moves more.
Is there duty on EU-made supplements under CETA?
It depends on the tariff line. For example, in the CBSA Customs Tariff 2026, tariff item 2106.90.99 carries a most-favoured-nation rate of 10.5% and the CETA-EU rate Free, for goods that meet the CETA rules of origin. CBSA Memorandum D10-14-30 generally classifies natural health products in heading 21.06 rather than Chapter 30, but the right 10-digit line depends on the product, and your importer or customs broker confirms it. The CETA origin statement on the invoice is discussed with PharmaEurope at the quote.
Are US whey and milk protein hit by Canada's counter-tariffs?
Yes: the Finance Canada list of US products subject to counter-tariffs, updated 26 August 2026 and in force from 8 September 2026, sets 50% on US-origin whey, casein, milk albumin and milk protein substances. The tariff applies to goods of US origin. The duty on an EU-made protein powder depends on its own classification, which your customs broker confirms before the first shipment. PharmaEurope makes protein powders from 300 kg of finished blend.
Who does what when importing supplements from Europe to Canada?
Four parties, each with one job. The licences are held in Canada; the plant supplies the documents.
| Party | Role |
|---|---|
| PharmaEurope, the plant | Makes, labels and packs the product; supplies the specification, Certificate of Analysis, copies of site certificates; delivers EXW, FCA or DAP |
| Canadian importer of record | Registers with the CBSA in CARM, declares the goods and pays duties and taxes; holds the site licence for the natural health product |
| Customs broker | Files the entry for the importer and confirms the tariff line and the CETA treatment |
| Your brand | Holds the product licence and its NPN; supplies the Canadian regulatory text for the label |
How long does shipping from Europe to Canada take?
Sea transit to Montreal takes about 11 days port to port from Rotterdam and about 13 days from Antwerp on the fastest published sailings; door to door takes longer. Production comes first: from 2 weeks on a ready-made formula and from 4 weeks on your own. PharmaEurope delivers EXW at the plant by default, or FCA or DAP on request, and your Canadian importer or its broker clears the goods on arrival.
What licences does a Canadian supplement brand need?
In Canada most capsule, tablet and softgel supplements are natural health products (some powders and drinks may be foods): your brand holds the product licence and its Natural Product Number (NPN), and the Canadian importer holds the site licence. All natural health products must meet Health Canada's new labelling rules, including the label information required in English and French, by 22 June 2028. PharmaEurope supplies the manufacturer documents; the licences are held in Canada.
How does a private label supplement from Europe reach Canadian shelves?
1. Formula and label
A ready-made formula or your own, with an English and French label designed at the plant from the text your licence holder supplies.
2. Production
From 2 weeks on a ready-made formula, from 4 weeks on your own, with the Certificate of Analysis.
3. Documents
Specification, Certificate of Analysis and site certificate copies; the CETA origin statement is discussed at the quote.
4. Delivery
EXW at the plant by default; FCA or DAP on request, to the point your importer names.
5. Clearance and sale
Your importer clears the goods with the CBSA, and your brand sells under its own NPN.

Questions about private label supplements for Canada
Can a Canadian brand order private label supplements from Europe?
Yes. PharmaEurope manufactures white and private label food supplements in the European Union and already ships to Canada. A Canadian brand can start with a ready-made formula from 100 units or its own formula from 500 bottles. Your brand holds the product licence (NPN) and a Canadian importer clears the goods.
Is there duty on EU-made supplements under CETA?
It depends on the tariff line. For example, in the CBSA Customs Tariff 2026, tariff item 2106.90.99 carries a 10.5% MFN rate and is Free at the CETA-EU rate for goods that meet the rules of origin. Your customs broker confirms the line; the CETA origin statement on the invoice is discussed with PharmaEurope at the quote.
How long does shipping from Europe to Canada take?
Sea transit to Montreal takes about 11 days port to port from Rotterdam and about 13 days from Antwerp on the fastest published sailings. Production at PharmaEurope comes first: from 2 weeks on a ready-made formula and from 4 weeks on your own. Customs clearance in Canada follows arrival and is handled by your importer.
Can you print English and French labels?
Yes. PharmaEurope designs and prints the label and packaging at the plant in the languages you specify, so English and French labels are possible. The licence holder supplies the regulatory text and the NPN. All natural health products must meet Health Canada's new labelling rules by 22 June 2028.
What is the minimum order for Canada?
For Canadian brands, PharmaEurope makes white label products on ready-made formulas from 100 units, your own formula from 500 bottles for capsules and tablets, and powders and sachets from 300 kg of finished blend. Effervescent tablets come in tubes of 20, with a low minimum order quoted per tube count. The full table is on the minimum order quantities page.
Do you ship to Canada already?
Yes. PharmaEurope already ships to Canada and has worked with Canadian clients. Delivery is EXW at the plant by default, with FCA or DAP on request, so your Canadian importer or forwarder takes over at an agreed point and clears the goods into Canada.
Who is the importer of record?
Usually your Canadian importer. The importer of record registers with the CBSA in CARM, declares the goods and pays the duties and taxes, and for natural health products it holds the site licence. PharmaEurope supplies the manufacturer documents the importer needs: specification, Certificate of Analysis and copies of the site certificates.
Can you make vitamin D3 for a Canadian brand?
Yes. PharmaEurope makes vitamin D3 as white label on a ready-made formula from 100 units, or on your own formula from 500 bottles for capsules and tablets. The label is printed in English and French with the text your licence holder supplies. Ready-made options are on the vitamin D page.
Can you make protein powder for a Canadian brand?
Yes. PharmaEurope makes protein powders from 300 kg of finished blend, with the label and packaging designed and printed at the plant. Canada's counter-tariff list puts 50% on US-origin whey, casein and milk protein; duty on an EU-made powder depends on its classification, which your customs broker confirms.
Can an EU factory be a second, non-US supplier for my brand?
Yes. PharmaEurope manufactures in the European Union, not the United States, and goods can enter Canada under CETA when they meet its rules of origin. A first run can be small, from 100 units on a ready-made formula, so a brand can test one product on the new route first.
What documents come with every batch?
PharmaEurope ships every batch with a specification and its Certificate of Analysis. Copies of the ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP site certificates come on request; their scope covers tablets, capsules and powders. PharmaEurope sends them to your importer and licence holder on request.
Can we get samples before ordering?
Yes. PharmaEurope sends samples of existing products to companies seriously considering an order, so a Canadian brand can check the product, the pack and the label before the first batch. PharmaEurope replies within 24 hours, Monday to Friday; send the format, the quantity and where you will sell.
