Why the minimum decides the margin, not the unit price
The cheapest unit price in a quote is almost never the cheapest way to launch. A supplier that quotes a low price at 10,000 units is asking you to fund a year of stock before the listing has a single review. The comparison that matters is the cost of the smallest batch you can actually sell through. At 500 bottles a product that fails costs you one batch; at 10,000 it costs you the season. That is the whole argument for a low minimum, and it is why the number sits at the top of this site instead of being hidden in a quote.
What a marketplace actually asks you for
Marketplace compliance requests are boring and they are always the same three things: proof of what is in the product, proof of who made it, and a label that matches both. That is the Certificate of Analysis for your batch, the site certificates with their numbers, and artwork checked against EU labelling law before print. All three are part of the order here rather than a request you make afterwards, because afterwards is usually the day the listing is suspended.
Restocking is a different problem from launching
The second order is where most suppliers quietly become expensive: a new trial, new documentation, a new lead time. A repeat here runs against the specification you already approved, so nothing is re-developed and nothing is re-signed. The clock is the production clock, 4 to 8 weeks, and the product that arrives is the product your reviews are about.
