Façonnier de compléments alimentaires · marque blanche
In France a food supplement (complément alimentaire) is declared to the DGAL, the Ministry of Agriculture, through the Compl'Alim online service under Decree No 2006-352; Compl'Alim replaced Teleicare. The déclaration is a simple declaration when every ingredient is on the French positive lists of nutrients, plants and other substances. PharmaEurope manufactures white and private label supplements in the European Union: ready-made capsules and tablets from 100 units, your own formula from 500 bottles, powders and sachets from 300 kg, production from 2 weeks on a ready-made formula and from 4 weeks on your own. Every batch ships with a specification and a Certificate of Analysis.
In short: PharmaEurope makes the product and supplies the documents; your company declares it in Compl'Alim and sells.

How is a food supplement declared in France?
Online, in Compl'Alim, to the DGAL of the Ministry of Agriculture. Compl'Alim reads the declared composition and routes the file to the procedure that applies: a simple declaration under Article 15 of Decree No 2006-352 when every nutrient, plant and other substance is on the positive lists set by the decree's orders, or an authorisation request for an ingredient that is not. A substance missing from the lists cannot go through the simple declaration, so check the formula against the lists before you choose it.
What does PharmaEurope supply for the declaration?
PharmaEurope supplies the documents: the label artwork as a PDF, the product specification with the full composition, the Certificate of Analysis for the batch and copies of the site certificates. Your company enters them in Compl'Alim and files. Tell PharmaEurope at the quote that the product is for France, and the label is laid out for it from the start.
Does a French declaration cover Belgium and Switzerland?
No: Belgium and Switzerland each have their own notification, so check with the national authority before the first shipment.
